Rescue

Norwegian Elkhound Minutemen Association rescues homeless or soon to be homeless Norwegian Elkhounds and finds caring, loving homes for them.

THE DOGS ARE RESCUED FROM:

  • The six New England states

  • Concerned citizens and Humane Societies who have found strays

  • Owners who surrender their dogs for a variety of reasons

All adoptive homes must complete an adoption application prior to being considered to adopt a Norwegian Elkhound. Each application is screened and you will be interviewed on the telephone. Based on the gathered information, and if we have a dog that we feel is a good match, you will be invited to come and see him/her. Upon approval of all parties (ours, yours and the dog) you may go home with a new family member.

All our Norwegian Elkhounds are assessed for good temperament, are medically updated, and spayed or neutered. To request an Adoption or Foster Home Application or for more information call: Nancee Greeley (781) 749-3645 (e-mail Djgreeley@comcast.net) or Jackie McManus (508) 428-2712 (email elklin@aol.com) -- Please include name, address and phone number.
